The song was 2 Days in February off of Hold Me up. And the jab at Bush
was pretty cool. It seemed like some new fans were dozing off during
this one.
Yeah, Jamie was pretty dead on with his review of the show. Not too
many people who knew any songs, even stuff off Boy.
One thing though, I thought Dishwalla blew hard. It was like the lead
singer couldn't decide if he wanted to be Eddie Vedder or Michael
Hutchence or Danzig. Overall, about the most unoriginal band next to
UB40.
Robby played in socks. Some guy next to me said "That bass player is a
fucking dork". I beat his ass.
And Johnny was wearing a Replacements "Let It Be" t-shirt. Pretty cool.
Then when they played We are the Normal he pointed to Paul Westerberg
and said," this is the guy who wrote this next song."
Damn good show.
paul.
