Subject: Re: BUSH

Hey, well the rumor is most likely true... they are touring with Bush and
Heather NOva..mmmm, babe ;) as for the Kissmas Bash last night... if
you are under 21 or didn't get to go... you didn't miss much... I'll
start of with mentioning that it was my 18th show... the last show I went
to was at Sheas and there was no mosh pit, but it sounded extremely good,
so I was somewhat happy... but as for last night, it started out with the
feeling that I was underdressed in a Goos Uncool shirt and jeans....
eveyone that seemed to be there was either in a tux or a gown... But some
dude was wearing some funky shirt(thats another story about some freak)..
the show was well attended though and they raised about 5 grand for
charity... the opening band was Banarama, not high on my favorite band
list... first off, it wasn't the original singers... the girls(2 singers)
were about 22 or so... and there were 2 guys dancing on stage with
them... there were no people playing instruments oreven the cheesy 80's
electric organ...and to top it off, I'm almost positive the girls were
lipsyncing!!! they played about 5 songfs and then left... the the guys
that sing the Macarina, something seemed weird when they played the album
version twice for us.... then they said that the band didn't show....
upset #2.... then they announced the Goos....finally... so here it was,
i was with my friends to the right of the crowd toward the center... they
came out and they only had their acoustic guitars.... they played songs
like Impersonality, Naked, Name, 2 Days in Feb., Lance even showed up for
Never Take the Place of Your Man... that was cool to see him again...
the pit was nothing for the 1st 3 songs, then when Naked come on(my
favorite song on BOY) I had to get a pit going ;) I went out there
with 3 other guys and we started jumping around... People all dressed up
looked at us likewe were crazy, moshing to the goo goo dolls, no way...
damn posers.... we even got a few people to crowd ride, we slammed around
some large girl in a dress because she refused to move so we could jump
around... the bounces in the pit just laughed... now, the summary.. the
concert sounded good, the pit was nothing til we started something, but
it was too short, the people there were so damn fake, and the beer
sucked! I myself will stick to the small club scenes, all ages, less
poser shows(even though when they come again, i'll be there) I guess
thats what happens when a band you followed since they were small becomes
big... there was a small group of poeple there singing along, which was
coool., but people there looked at you like you were crazy to mosh...
Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine, ignorant wanna be's.... well, thats my
summary... Oh yea, they played Don't Change too... and they didn't have
an encore even though we kept chanting "Goos, Goos"... then when they
took apart Mikes drums, we started chanting "bullsh*t"... they Kiss
organizers didn't like that, but too damn bad... Oh well, enough out of
me, GooBye... see ya at the next small club, all ages show, with Bush and
Heather Nova ;)
