Goo Goo Dolls in Kentucky

Well, I saw the Goo's Saturday night at the KY state fair!  The 
stage was so far away from the first row it was pathetic!  Johnny 
mentioned how it sucked several times.  The Goo's are definately 
better in the club setting!  Robby wore socks.....no shoes.  He had 
shoes on until he got to the stage but must have taken thme off 
right before coming on!  They played the usual songs.  No big 
surprises.  I believe that Johnny's wife was there.  I have never 
seen her but from the description and what I saw...must have been 
her!
The show was in a small baseball stadium.  Before the show I saw 
mike and Robby walk down the 3rd base line towards the busses.  So, 
I got up and went down there.  Well.....I must have missed it but 
Mike had walked back.  I waited over there for a while and here 
comes Mike again.  I went skipping over to the railing to try to 
take a picture but I think I just freaked poor Mike.  He just hung 
his head to the ground and would not come over....He was looking 
out of the corner of his eye.  So...no picture!  About 5 minutes 
before the show I went back to my seat.....Of course as soon as I 
got there, I regretted it.  Out walked all of them and Johnny's 
wife....right where I had been.  Oh well.....I tried!  It was a 
typical Goo show!  But you could tell that the crowd was there for 
the Gin Blossoms.  And of course they rocked too!
