Hedgecock Fieldhouse

Marquette, Michagin

Review by: Heidi

Hi Y'all! :) This has been my 5th or 6th day as a member of this mailing list and I love getting all the mail for all you GGD fans!

As I said before, a few weeks ago I went to the Goo's concert in Marquette, MI, which is conveniently right by where I live. The concert was a complete sell-out. You see, where I live, we never get to see well-known bands. Quite frankly, we rarely ever get to see A band at all. I bought a ticket for the concert about two days after they went on sale.

At the concert, my friends and I got excellent seats. The concert was held in a college gymnasium. It wasn't all that large, but it wasn't too small for the amount of people there. We were sitting in the 4th row of the bleachers with a PERFECT view of the stage. The people on the floor in front of the stage didn't have a very good view at all. I tested the view myself. :) The only bad thing about our position was the fact that our left ears where facing a huge stack of 10 or 12 amplifiers. (The ringing in my ear didn't stopped until the day after the show.) The crowd was totally welcoming. I mean, I know that a lot of the people were there because it was a concert and the Goo Goo Dolls have the hit "Iris" and "Slide." They cheered them on during every single song even though, I'm sure, it was the first time for them to hear some of them. I, personally, knew the whole "Dizzy Up the Girl" album. Even so, the audience loved them! I went totally nuts! :) I loved the concert SO much. Going to it has only greatened my love for the GGD's.

I just wanted to share my story about the concert because, living in a small town isn't all that bad when it comes to awesome concerts. Nothing beats having a perfect view and awesome acoustics in a small gym. The tickets were only $15 too. I'm so thankful that they came here.

Thanks for letting me share!

Heidi

P.S. Johnny was wearing a gray tank-top and a pair of black leather pants.... *sigh* He looked goooooood! :)
