Venue: A Boy Named Goo
Hey, I haven't seen anything on the SA show yet, so I'll give it a try.
The Goos headlined the Habitat Hoedown, with Pushmonkey, Imperial Drag,Poe, and the Nixons. They played most of ABNG, plus (this list may be incomplete as I was pretty tired by that point):
Million Miles Away String of Lies Fallin' Down We Are the Normal
And for the encore:
Highlights of the show: Johnny telling a crowd surfer, "You look good up there;" introducing "Name" as "the song that almost ended our careers," then during the lyrics "a tired song keeps playing on a tired radio" gesturing toward himself and the rest of the band. Then, he introduced "Slave Girl" as "the song that should have ended our careers." At one point he made the comment of "some days you just feel like David Lee Roth trying to join a band."
The Goos were really energetic and put on a great show, despite the near mass exodus after "Name," at least where I was. That was fine by me, it meant I could get that much closer to the stage, though the Goos surely must have noticed. They people that did stay made a good audience, though. My boyfriend and I wanted to scream "Up Yours," but consiering the state of most people (the event was sponsered by Budwiser), we were afraid of what results that might bring.
I was too far away, so I couldn't see if Robby was wearing shoes or not. Anyone with a better view and a better memory want to take a crack at it?
