The Goo show July 12th at the Six Flags over Texas (Arlington) amplitheatre
was awsome! =) With rain pouring down all day leaving the park half
closed, fans totally soaked, and fear of the concert being cancelled,
the sky fortunately cleared around 5:30 leaving perfect concert weather.

A little after 8:00 DISHWALLA took stage. If you don't have their
album, I HIGHLY recommend it. Especially if you plan on seeing the
Goos while they are still opening (which won't be all of this tour...Gin
Blossoms take over about half way). They put on a good set and there was
a portion (almost a designated section) of Dishwalla fans, but it showed
what touring (even if just OPENING) with one single does for you.

Once the Goos took the stage the crowd (as small as it was... Probably
less than 7,000. The rain kept a lot of people away.) caught all the
energy. The Goos were energetic, dancing around the stage (as someone
had mentioned earlier, Robby and Johnny kept trading sides of the stage),
and telling jokes. And making awfully odd comments towards the
glow-necklaces/braclets/sticks at the show. (Johnny's words of advice:
Don't eat them!) They played a good mix of A Boy Named Goo and
Superstar Carwash and I think 2 or 3 new ones. They were having a good
time. Several people managed to run across stage while they were
playing, including some woman who tried to dance with Johnny and as she
was dragged away, he threw down what looked like money that I assume she
had given him. I thought that was funny. And yes, Robby was running
around in his socks. =)

And after the show, my friend and I had the fortune to get to go backstage
and meet the guys (again). Johnny was, of course, surrounded by the women,
Mike, who is originally from that area, was busy with old friends and Robby
was good-natured and talkative.

All and all it was the best Goo show I have seen yet. And hopefully I
will get to see them again in Buffalo Sept 28th! =)
